The revised route would provide a connection between Marple Campus and Southeast Center, opening up additional scheduling options for students and giving them the opportunity to participate more actively in programs. Currently students at the Southeast Center take three buses to the Marple Campus with an average travel time of two hours. This concept would offer a one-seat ride to the Marple Campus from Eastern Delaware County cutting the time in half between locations. To improve ridership and passenger utilization north of Township Line Road, SEPTA is proposing to discontinue service on the 115 between Brookline and Ardmore and revise the route to terminate at the College by operating via Darby Road, Manoa Road, West Chester Pike and Media Line Road. The most significant change is the addition of the 115 bus between Southeast Center and Marple Campus. There will be an additional five trips arriving and departing from the campus on Saturdays. Buses will leave campus hourly between 5:40 and 8:40 PM and then again at 10:10 PM. During the academic year, the 112 will arrive on campus every thirty minutes between 6:44 AM and noon and depart every thirty minutes starting at noon. The proposed changes would simplify the present schedules, and offer faster service to the College. The proposed 126 route would cover service to the Lawrence Park area. The new 112 route would operate between 69th Street Terminal and the College via West Chester Pike. In order to address these concerns, SEPTA has proposed splitting the route. Students and employees comprise 45 percent of the ridership. SEPTA has received numerous requests for better service to and from the College. During the past 25 years, the route has grown significantly. The 112 route was created in 1986 to provide direct service to Delaware County Community College from 69th Street Terminal. This hearing will address the proposed changes to the 112 and 115 bus routes. (MEDIA, PA) Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will hold a public hearing at Delaware County Community College on Friday, June 10 at 2 PM in the STEM Center Auditorium, Marple Campus.
